Amid clash in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, police vehicles set on fire, pelted with stones

  A clash broke out between groups in the Kiradpura area of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (earlier known as Aurangabad) on Wednesday nigh. Several police vehicles were set on fire and pelted with stones amid the violence. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the situation has been brought under control by the police and action would be taken against those involved in the arson. He also appealed all to maintain peace. District guardian minister Sandipan Bhumare, who visited the site, also stated that the situation was under control, and appealed for peace. “There was a clash between two groups on Wednesday midnight around 12:30-1 am, after which, a few police vehicles were set on fire and stones were pelted on some police and private vehicles.
